Concert Story

Hey guys, so I just went to the Speak Now Tour at the Staples Center in LA on 8/27/11. Let me tell you how everything went (: Well I got there at around 3:20pm and found parking right away (2 blocks away from the Staples Center for $5 flat rate) Then I walked to the venue and headed towards the buses to see if the agency was going to go out to take pictures and stuff. And guess what happened!!!? I saw Taylor Swift arriving in her car, she had the window rolled down and she waved at the people standing there (about 20 of us there) I also saw Paul from the agency, he was outside like 25 feet from the crowd but he didn’t come to take a picture with anyone :( but it was still awesome! Well I then took pictures in like this tent they had with a really good background and I also took a picture with the heart shape thing! By then it was like 4:30 so I was super excited because doors almost opened (5:50pm) I then proceeded to buy my Tour Shirt (black skyline one, which is $25) and also the Tour Book ($20) and they gave me both of the things in this really nice bag with covergirl pictures and also a Taylor Swift picture on the other side of the bag. Well then it was time to enter :D I was super excited and then I enter the building and I just couldn’t believe I was there! NEEDTOBREATHE was doing soundcheck and I just walked around the venue and took pictures with the Taylor signs they had all over, also the picture covergirl people take and sent you via text. I then bought some food (pricey) and went to my seat! I had section 111 row 17 seat 19. The seat was AMAZING! I almost cried when I saw the stage it is a fantastic stage! I had never been to the Staples Center so I was looking all over (it is a wonderful venue)! Well I took part of the trivia they have on the screens and watched some of the behind the scenes videos they have while waiting for opening acts! Josh Kelley was pretty good (he sang about 3 songs) NEEDTOBREATHE was unbelievable better than expected :) (they sang about 6-7 songs) and then I waited for American Girl to play because I knew that was the song that plays before Taylor comes on. The crowd was screaming so hard and then she came on stage! :) :) :) I couldn’t believe I had my inspiration so close to me, I sang as loudly as I could to Sparks Fly and Sparks actually flew, it was epic! Sorry this is getting too long so let me summarize the performances! Mine was incredible, lots of hair flipping. The Story of Us was one of the most energetic songs of the night! Mean, well fabulous (one of my favorites) others like Speak Now, Better Than Revenge, Our Song, Back To December were just flawless. I loved the snow during Back To December. Dear John was absolutely my favorite! You could hear and see all the emotion she put into the song, the fireworks were just woah! I didn’t even know having fireworks indoors was possible! Haunted was very energetic also! The special guest sang tonight tonight with Taylor and Taylor covered Maroon 5 during the acoustic part of the show. Fearless and Last Kiss were magical! You Belong With Me was one of the most emotional to me (first song I ever heard from her) and I sang the loudest during that one :D. Enchanted was very enchanting, loved the dance and all the stage design for that one. Long Live was dedicated to us (her fans) it was amazing! The encore: Fifteen was outstanding (loved the pictures of the agency and Taylor when they were fifteen) Love Story was the most fabulous performance (for me) because when she flies over the audience, I had her like 10 feet from me! I was like screaming so loud to her , she looked my way too! The ending was flawless, with the dancers, the confetti, the balcony thing and yeah the best night of my life! The lights, the smoke, the fireworks, the dancers, the costume changes, the stage design, the stage set changes, everything was outstanding. I would definitely go see the show again. BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE :D :) Did I tell you she is awesome live? She is so great live :D

Speak Now Concert Story #2

I am so excited guys, so I got to go to the Speak Now World Tour for the second time in less than 2 months!!! So I didn’t even know I was going to be able to get tickets, I begged my parents for a good month to let me go, I told them I would pay for it and for the gas, they didn’t want to let me go. So when they finally said they would take me there, I couldn’t find a ticket, so I was so depressed for like the entire month searching for a ticket. I was really depressed because I didn’t had school 10/20/11 which was the day of the concert. So I said to myself, how can I miss that concert when I don’t even have to go to school that day?, I have to find a way of going. So I decided to wait until the day of the concert to try and get some tickets from ticketmaster. So the day comes right, and I am searching through ticketmaster looking for 1 ticket. I was super lucky to find out they had opened 2 new sections for the show and they were only $47 including the fees. I literally cried when I found out I was going to be able to go for the second time. So the concert was in San Diego California and I left my house at 3:30pm and got there at about 5:00pm and the doors were supposed to open at 5:30pm. I get there and there is already a line for people waiting to get in, the arena is a lot smaller than the Staples Center but that is good because my seat was in the nosebleeds. So they didn’t open the doors until 5:45pm and I was desperate because I already wanted to go in. While waiting in line I saw a girl with the Wonderstruck purse and it is really awesome in person. I also saw a lot of signs, some really creative ones too. So they finally let us in and I go directly to the covergirl booths where they take your picture with the Taylor background thing and I took my picture. I then went to my seat, I was the first one in my section and it was a really bad seat, but I didn’t mind because I was going to be in the same room as my idol. My seat was a nosebleed to the side of the stage, you couldn’t see the screens from my seat, but you could see all of the performances really good, as well as backstage. So at 7pm the first opening act starts (I forgot who it was, it was really boring to me) Then at about 7:35pm NEEDTOBREATHE started playing, I love them, I was rocking out to them and I had a blast, they did a small cover of the song Stuck In A Moment by U2 and it was really awesome because I saw U2 over the summer so it brought back memories. So then it was time to wait for Taylor and when American Girl started playing I was full on rocking out to the song, I couldn’t wait for it to end so I could see Taylor right in front of my very own eyes. So at about 8:40pm the lights went out and the intro started playing and then Taylor appear from underneath the stage and started singing Sparks Fly. I was screaming so much right there that I swear I lost my voice in that single song. I am not going to go into detail song by song because its basically the same as the LA concert story. I do have to say that the people around me were really boring, I saw like 4 girls seating there without even clapping, they didn’t move for the entire concert. I also saw some drunk couples like 5 rows above me. Besides that, I had the time of my life. Half way through the show I moved to the section next to mine where I had a better view and I talked to some really cool mom that was like singing and dancing the entire time. My overall experience was priceless. I never thought of seeing Taylor live for once, so it is mind blowing that I got to see her twice in less than two months apart from each concert. She also sang Ours which she didn’t not perform on my LA show, so I was freaking out because I got to hear that song live!!! She cover Dare You To Move by Switchfoot and everything about the concert was flawless. No, I didn’t get pit passes or got into the T Party but I didn’t need that to have fun, I was extremely happy I got to see her again, that is all that mattered to me. Sorry for making this so long, if you read all of this, I applaud you, it means the world to me. I am so excited I got to Speak Now 10/20/11 in San Diego California.
